If you are on Facebook, Twitter, or any other social media platform, it can be quite difficult to keep your intention in check, especially when sisters ‘like’ your posts or retweet your words. Remember, you’re here to fight to raise the Word of Allaah the highest, not to gain fame on Facebook or Twitter or elsewhere.
Spread the haqq, promote the State with pics and words, but do it with the right intentions. At first, one may seem excited about getting a Klash and may pose with it online. However take extreme caution as even a second of contemplating fame could cause you to enter the fire.
Even a simple word of praise from a sister online can damage your intention. Always keep youself in check, and “bring yourself to account before you are brought to account.”
You may know a brother who got married to a sister over Twitter or fb, but don’t let this concern you or effect you. You may see some brothers with so many sisters following them, with sisters praising them, writing on their page etc. But just ignore the temptations. Hard? Of course it is. Women are the adornment of this world, and man is constantly tempted to seek a woman’s attention.
However, realise that a woman in this life is defective. She carries urine and stool inside of her wherever she goes, she bleeds for a week every month, she has many deficiencies. So why bother to get attention from such a creature?
Even if you end up with 100 sisters following you, liking your every post/tweet, praising you etc. know that this will just cause you problems once you get married. No pious sister would be pleased to see her husband getting so many likes from other sisters. Not to mention how glamorous some of these niqabi sisters try to look in their poses of their profile pics.
Realise one thing, you, as a Mujaahid are now known to 72 women, 72 women who are following you, watching you, staring at you. Yes, the Hoor Al-Ayn. A woman with the perfect eyes, the perfect figure, and perfect manners. A girl who knows no man but you, who follows no one but you, and who likes no one but you.
So stay focused with regards to your intentions. Ignore these temporary delights, and know why you came here. You did not save up for months, plan your journey, struggle with contacts, go through all the hassle, train to fight and die fi sabeelillaah just to have it all thrown back at you on the day of judgement over a temporary delight of sisters following you and praising you.
And all this about brothers seeking fame may be something you find strange, however, with the passing of time in jihad, the need for a female comforter increases. And Shaytaan works his hardest when you’re on this blessed path.
So fear Allaah, and your journey will be a rewarding one.
